On the same day, but not in the same situation, two great icons are being celebrated and honored by dignitaries, politicians, and the ordinary citizens of this country. Aretha Franklin, and John McCain. One the queen of Detroit and the other a great man, senator, warrior, and family man, John McCain. Both memorial services will inspire and move this country.
In Detroit, the great singer, entertainer, and gracious lady will be immortalized and remembered for all she has done for her race and for all the people in this country. Remember and celebrate, all that she loved and worked for in this country, not just in politics but in the area of entertainment and for the civil rights of all. She was for and worked for the every man and the every woman in this country and the world. The whole country and world mourns her passing. She said it all with her voice, her words and her actions. The generations going forward shall remember her, her words, and her actions. The Queen of Soul! No greater action can ever be done; Just remember what she stood for: REPECT!!
In Washington D. C., theses open up, as if even the gods of old are weeping for a great man, for his memorial service, as John McCain lies INSTATE, the 31st to do so. This is a service that immortalizes a great man and reminds us, the ordinary citizen, that there is and can be greatness in all of us, if we allow it in. The Mother of John McCain, at 106 years of age is also at the memorial service for her beloved son John. This service should and will remind all of us, that there can be and should be greatness found in each and every person willing to embrace service, honor, integrity, and country. We, as has our nation, have lost our heart, with the death of this honorable and service. driven man. Will any step forward to take up his torch?
