Memories

All this chaos in our capital and in the entire country, has gotten me to think again about the past, so in the next few days I will rewrite some of the prose and essays, that came into my mind during the 60’s through the 90’s. Enjoy if you will, I know in many ways I will in the remembering.

The Lament of the Trojan women

Women sorrow
Children weep
Buildings lay in destruction
Gound charred with death
Men live no more
Boys grow to men never again
The horseman war has struck his blow
And a once striving nature is laid low
Women sorrow
Children weep
No nation here shall be built
No love derived
No children grown
What is left here, but death
Only loneliness stays
Only desolation remains
Yes, women sorrow
And children weep
What have they now
What are they now
Ghosts of the past
Spirits of the present
Fortellers of the future
Residents of a dead nation
People of pain
So women sorrow
And children weep
